The Falcon 9 Rocket launched today with a satellite as the payload! What makes the Falcon 9 special is that it has already been in space! Yes! Space X has finally shown its capability in constantly proving that re-useable rockets are the next essential thing!
Earlier all rockets essentially would become trash as they were non reusable! They would either end up in space or crash back into the ocean!
What is the Falcon 9?
The Falcon 9 is a two stage rocket that is designed and manufactured by Elon Musk’s Space X crew.
What is a two stage rocket?
Its the make of a rocket that defines the stages.
A two stage rocket consists of
Stage 1 : Primary Stage Fires from Surface and propels the Rocket out of Earth’s Atmosphere. This stage then lands back!
Stage 2: Second Stage fires the payload whether human or a satellite, into orbit.
Falcon 9’s simple two-stage configuration minimises the number of separation events and with nine first-stage engines, it can safely complete its mission even in the event of an engine shutdown!
What is its purpose?
Safe and Reliable transport of satellites and the Dragon spacecraft which is a fully autonomous spacecraft designed to transport cargo and ultimately people to and from orbit.
